I *Heart* Free Vacations
I’m back from a terrific FREE vacation to a water-park hotel. We had a great but exhausting time. (Or at least I did. Dragging two kids, floaties, sippy cups, snacks, swim diapers, pool toys and towels up and down three floors by myself was pretty tiring. On the up side, I actually lost a pound.)
My husband went to a managerial training for work and we got to tag along. (Hence the FREE part of the vacation.) He had meetings from 8 AM to 4 or 5 PM. I took the girls to the water-park in the mornings for a couple hours and he went with us after supper each night. The girls were so excited and seemed so grown up! Cupcake (almost 3) and Sprinkles (14 months) had a blast. They love the water like their mama.
I am almost unpacked and caught up with laundry. It’s good to be home.
I caught up on my sleep at the hotel since I didn’t have pesky things like housework to keep me up.
I even got some reading done! Fabulous.
If my pictures turned out I’ll post some. The girls were adorable in their swimsuits. Me? Not so much.
*UPDATE* Um, yeah. The water-park is INSIDE the hotel. I live in the midwest and let me tell ya, it is not outdoor swimming weather. It snowed four inches today! Just thought I would clear that up.

Uh, I’m so jealous. We were supposed to be at a hotel waterpark in Dubuque RIGHT NOW! But we had to cancel our trip because of everyone being sick.
I hope you had a great time and I’m looking forward to your pictures, so that I can live vicariously through you … since I’m here on my couch with a box of tissue and two sick kids with fevers.
